Hundreds of thousands of herring will make their way to the pond where they will spawn and then head back to the ocean as part of their life cycle. Members of the Marine Fisheries help move the fish from the rivers and streams into the lakes and ponds with nets at locations that there are no fish ladders or there are dams blocking them.
