Viktar Babaryka is a former Belarusian political prisoner, banker and philanthropist. He intended to run in the 2020 presidential election but was detained shortly after announcing his candidacy. After spending more than five and a half years in prison, Babaryka was released on December 13, 2025 along with around 100 other political prisoners and transferred from Belarus to Ukraine against his will.
