California, U.S. - A C-130 Air Tanker drops fire retardant on a ridge West of Scotts Valley Road near Lakeport, California, to help hold a dozer line attempting to slow the spread of the River Fire burning in Lake and Mendocino Counties. The River Fire is one of two fires making up the Mendocino Complex Fire burning around the west end of Clear Lake. Both fires, the Ranch to the north and the River to the south, are still large and growing. Together they now total 90,912 acres and are still only 24% contained.
