Visitors walk towards the sun as it rises during the ceremony at Stonehenge. On the longest day of the year thousands of revellers gather at Stonehenge in Wiltshire, to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Neo Druids, Pagans and non-believers congregate around the 5000-year-old stone circle to celebrate the sunrise. The sun rises in perfect alignment with the Heel Stone and Altar Stone proving that ancients in the construction of the stones understood the solar calendar.
